Miss Hay appointed three girls to meet her at the school Thurs day afternoon to map out a hike for Saturday The hike will be Saturday and we will meet at the church. We had a visitor, a girl scout from New York. Miss Marion Reed, a great-niece of Miss Mary Young and girl scout from New York, entertained the Brownies with songs and games while the leaders acquaint ed the mothers with the scout program and work. Brownies sang songs to their mothers just before the social hour. Tables were decorated with lemon lilies, iris, and rhododen dron. Mothers, leaders, and sponsors present were: Mrs. J. B. Dotson, Mrs. W. D. Dibrell, Mrs. Kelly Benge, Mrs. R. Babbs, Mrs. Burks, Mrs. E. S Jackson, Mrs. Jeter Riddle, Mrs. Reed Tull, Mrs. C. B. Clark, Mrs. George Sarti, Mrs. R. T. EXPRESSES THANKS Mrs. Fred Wilson wishes to thank the old and new leaders for their cooperation and help with the Brownie troop, which celebrated its first birthday in March. This is the first and only Brownie troop to be organized in Black Mountain. Any person in the community interested in helping with the leadership of Scout or Brownie work should call Mrs. Wilson phone 2211.
